Chlorella is also an excellent chelating agent for heavy metals such as aluminum and mercury which enter the food chain due to industrial pollution. Moreover, it can help with haematopoiesis (building of red blood cells) and boost immune system activity (natural killer cell defence). The Yaeyama chlorella from Source Natural does not have a broke cell wall. The cell wall is where a lot of the nutrients are concentrated. Therefore, this requires a well functioning digestive system (enzymes, gastric acid, microbiota) to fully benefit from this chlorella. People with impaired digestion should opt for broken or pulverised cell wall chlorella or fermented chlorella instead.
I'm a Japanese and Yaeyama Chrorella was very big in Japan 10 years ago as famous people told the media they are taking and it works. Chrorella does strong detoxing when it is taken with empty stomach (before meals), if you are looking for very strong detoxing product chrorella liquid is better, that makes me want to go to toilet in few hours of taking and sometimes poo come out green, so strong. I've been to Yaeyama area (Ishigaki Island, Okinawa prefecture), it's a subtropical area and the sea is so beautiful.

A new package style for me. The box has a foil packet inside, so the tablets feel fresh and pure green algae. I did take one a day of a different brand, but these ones look deep green. I don't take it all the time, but when I do, this is one of my go-to supplements as well as kelp. I feel the quality is fine and I use it when I know I could use a little fine tuning for energy and just feeling well overall. I will most likely keep using chlorella and it's a great superfood and antioxidant.
