I love taking D ribose! It really improved my energy levels and I finally can exercise without feeling exhausted. It taste really sweet, so I dilute in a glass of water and sometimes i use it to sweeten my tea. The ingredient list is clean. It's a good quality supplement with many benefits. The quality is fine, ingredient as a powder as well. The taste is also fine; recommended by some litterature to take it in a small glass of juice. I have to wait as to see if this really works but I think it has potential. I wlll add some NAD+, Pyruvate, niacin, transveratrol and Tryptophane as to work in synergy.
My Natural Health Newsletter, for which I have utmost respect, put together an energy boost product. Unfortunately, they do not ship to Thailand, so I decided to reverse-engineer that product and order the components from iHerb. D-Ribose is one of the three components, designed to trigger mitochondria to produce more ATP, the energy source that feeds the entire body. Acetyl-L-Carnitine is the second of the three components, to trigger "fat burning:". The third component consists of phytochemicals, which I get from a number of other iHerb supplements I take. We shall see how this works out. Hopefully the combination will boost my energy. I am 68 years old. Hopefully good quality, good value.
I'm so used to taking my supplements in capsule or pill form, so I was somewhat hesitant to purchase this. But it blends so well in my big water thermos after a few good shakes. The smell of the powder is a bit revolting but has little to no taste when mixed in with water (or whatever else you want to add it to, such as a smoothie). I do believe that two to three doses a day (each at the exact serving dose) has helped mask some of my fibromyalgia symptoms, such as my overall energy, muscle fatigue, and brain fog. This has also been noted in, at least, one study that I read through extensively (I am a tech and science writer and mostly literate in medical writing as well). It's also been extremely useful for helping to keep me highly hydrated, by encouraging my intake of water, which of course, only escalates the benefits of the product itself. I plan to continue using this product and recommend it to anyone else that needs a good boost.
