Excellent!I needed to find a сheesecloth to make quark cheese and found this on iherb. Used this to make bouquet garni for soup also. It comes unbleached, and it's organic and100% non toxic. Since this is being used in food prep, it is important to me that it was unbleached and organic. This is a very soft, high quality cheesecloth. I have to fold to double but it works really well. A good buy.
No juicer? No money for a juicer? Want to juice but have no juicer or money? lol. Blend your stuffs, sift, filter and squeeze out the juice with this cloth. It contains the pulp releases the green juices through your fingers. Wash your hands first. Something about squeezing out that healthy goodness through your fingertips that is so satisfying.
I used this to make almond-based cheeses, and it worked well. The package provides a lot of gauze-like cloth. You can cut this down to the size you need, and get several uses out of one purchase. After I was done, I threw this to the compost heap, and it disappeared along with the rest of the organic waste.
I couldn’t find medical gauze for wrapping wounds so I ordered this one. Apparently gauze is becoming obsolete. This is more for food making but I thought if I need gauze I’ll have this on hand. Gauze is needed to wrap around arms, hands legs sometimes for cuts burns, skin rashes as small bandaids just don’t stay on or aren’t big enough. I put aloe era on my leg if it’s acting up from a previous burn and wrap with gauze, then put another layer of aloe over that. Then I leave it on for 24 hours. My leg feels great with the healing effects and the skin is able to breathe because of the gauze. Cheese cloth and cotton gauze are basically indistinguishable from each other.
Good quality clean and natural cheesecloth. Has not broken apart yet, but then I'm not harsh with it. The weave is a little large so I usually fold it. I use this to strain the water out of cauliflower granules and it works great. Since I use this for food, I always wash it alone with warm water and a little dishsoap.
This is a nice cheesecloth to have around. It can be used for whatever you need and cut to the right size. It is unbleached so the color is natural. I used it when making vegan cheeses at home and it worked well. It can be a bit hard to clean out but is worth it to have something that is reusable and more eco friendly. I’m not sure how it compares to other brands because this was the only one that I have tried.
In my past I had been making desserts and dinners that require cheesecloth. I have used other materials that are not as great as this. The cheesecloth is really something that I find convenient. For example, if you are trying to make a stew using this cheese cloth is really necessary as it holds the larger ingredients in a confined space and does not ruin the rest of the dinner.
